Overview

This is a 12.5 mile/20kms (approx) moderate/strenuous walk with 2221ft/677m of ascent. Some steeper stretches on a mixture of paths, lanes, tracks and bridleways.

The walk takes in the Saddle of Kerridge, White Nancy, Walker Barn and Tegg’s Nose (nearly) and promises great views if the December weather allows. Plan B walk will operate if conditions are poor.

The route (subject to recce): The Lord Clyde - Kerridge Ridge - White Nancy - Brook House - Ely Brow - Walker Barn - Warrilowhead Farm - Hacked Way Lane - Clough House -Tegg’s Nose visitor centre (ice cream) - Gritstone Trail - Marsh Farm - Cliff Hill - Higher Hurdsfield - Swanscoe Hall - return to The Lord Clyde.

Poles recommended. Please bring lunch, snacks and drinks. Sorry, no dogs.

Lift available from Bramhall/Cheadle Hulme area.
