Walk starts at car park behind Weston Tavern in Kilmaurs, KA3 2RQ 9miles return.
We will start from here at 9 30.
We proceed through the village along Standalane and follow quiet country roads to Chapleton then on to the waters meeting where we will have a break at the bridges.
We then cross a field with 2 gates to climb over before following the River Annick along a grassy path known as the secret garden, there is a short steep path up to the road which we then cross with care.
We return to Kilmaurs once again on country roads and finally along ‘The coo trail’ and Habbieauld Road into the village.
The walk should take about 3 1/2 hours.
Risk assessment the walk is mainly flat but there are no pavements once out of the village so care must be taken to be aware of traffic especially when crossing the busy B769 . The field could be muddy if it has been wet.
Meet at East Ayrshire council headquarters offices car park, London road, Kilmarnock at 8 50 for 9 00 departure.
