KINGLEY VALE NATIONAL NATURE RESERVE - WEST SUSSEX
40-50 minutes from Eastleigh by car. To get there approach the village of East Ashling from the west on the B2146 and where the road goes sharp right go left into Stoke Road, follow this road until it also goes sharp right and here go left to find the car park. Share cars if possible and park tidily as the car park is well used.
The nature reserve is famous for its Yew Tree groves and its grassland habitat. The walk will also include Bow Hill, Goosehill Camp, Stoughton Down and the Devil's Humps. The paths are well established but being chalkland can be slippery in wet weather so ensure you have boots with good grips. There is 866 feet of climbing.
Take a picnic lunch and drink and something for mid-morning break.
To assist in the completion of the attendance register please send an email on the link provided to confirm you are coming before 20.00 on 6 August 2025. If everybody who has registered is in attendance the walk may start earlier.
