Overview

We make a short ascent from Shepley to higher ground where we will have panoramic views towards the Pennines and Holme Moss TV mast. Continuing to Hepworth village we pass the many reservoirs in this region. We then make a final ascent to Holme Village.

Catch the 08.04 train from York to Leeds arriving at 08.40 We then catch the 09.10 train from Leeds to Wakefield arriving at 09.21 where we get the 09.27 bus from Wakefield to Shepley arriving at 10.23.

For our return we catch the 14.49 bus from Holme to Huddersfield arriving at 15.36.  We then catch the 15.42 train from Huddersfield to York arriving at 16.41.

Purchase a return rail ticket from York to Wakefield and a single from Huddersfield to Leeds.
