We are the York Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

A circular walk from Welburn church. We walk west, briefly joining the road through the village. We cross the road and walk up through Monument plantation before descending through woodland and making our way to Bulmer, where we will have lunch. After lunch we make our way back to Castle Howard estate via Brandrith wood . Then we walk by The Stray up to the Temperance Inn before picking up the Centenary way [Photo]. We return to Welburn passing through Pretty Wood and field paths. There will be some muddy patches so a stick may help.
The Dogh cafe should be open for post walk tea and cake.
