Overview

The start of the walk takes us pleasantly downhill over the Goring and Streatley Golf Club greens where care may be needed if flying golf balls are to be avoided! We then head west along the Ridgeway to Post Box Cottage for a gentle climb to reach Town Copse, Unhill Wood and Starveall Farm before crossing the Wantage Road just below Kingstanding Hill. The footpath then takes us gently down to Moulsford and the Thames Path, which we follow all the way to Streatley. Crossing the Wantage Road once again, our path then climbs from Holies Hanging through Common Wood to reach the car park.

Please note that the car park at Lardon Chase is quite small and hence car-sharing is recommended if possible. It is also suggested that you aim to arrive at the car park no later than 9.15am because it does get very busy with local dog walkers and cyclists.
