Overview

A very pleasant walk through fields and past Castle Farm, the UK’s largest lavender farm, to Lullingstone Country Park, across to views of Lullingstone Castle Gatehouse, then down to the river, returning past the lavender fields and along the River Darent. There’s an opportunity to sample lavender or other flavour ice cream from the farm shop! There’s also a refreshment break on the return from the Castle loop, at the Lullingstone Visitor Centre. If you do not want to walk the full 5 miles, you can wait for us at the Visitor Centre and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while the others do the Castle Loop. This shortened walk is about 4 miles.
