Overview

We follow the River Lea upstream on a footpath through the Bow Creek Ecology Park.  On leaving the park, a short walk leads us to Cody Dock (toilets) where we rejoin the river and the Lea Valley Walk.  The towpath takes us via the Lea Navigation Canal past Walthamstow Marshes to Tottenham Hale.  A peaceful walk at a moderate pace, with no hills or stiles; some steps at bridges.

Lunch: At Barge East, Hackney Wick, where there are refreshment stalls and seating.

Train: Canning Town is served by Jubilee Line and DLR (Zones 2/3). Return from Tottenham Hale served by Victoria Line and National Rail (Zone 3).

Please note: many factors can affect how long a walk takes and the finish time given is an estimate only.
