Starting from Lea Village Hall, the walk goes past blueberry and raspberry fields, before turning to the long track at the back of Eccleswall Court. If we're lucky, the distinctive screaming call of a red kite may be heard whilst banking and twisting in flight. After that, the walk ascends to the Linton Ridge where on a fine day the views across the valley are spectacular. The walk then skirts around Beavan's Hill, returning to Aston Crews and Lea.
There is a mixture of path, field and road walking; some of the fields may still be muddy, so appropriate footwear is recommended. There are three stiles.
Please note that finish times are approximate.
Dogs on short leads are welcome. Appropriate footwear is recommended. Bring water to drink and a mid-morning snack.
Numbers restricted to 22. To book a place: TEXT the walk leader, Ruth M (not email) on 07926377398 by 16.00 hours the day before. Thank you.
