Overview

The morning walk follows the Monnow south before heading through woodland to some beautiful viewpoints and returning along the Monnow river. 
Lunch is at Skenfrith castle and provides an opportunity to look at the church. The route then heads west through Norton before following Black Brook and circling around to follow the Monnow valley back to Skenfrith.
