Starting from Lewes Railway Lands Nature Reserve, we then visit a restoration project for the Cockshut water meadows. There is then a strenuous ascent and then descent of Swanborough Hill before returning to Lewes via the Juggs track, supposedly used by smugglers.
Picnic break on route, please bring water and your snack- and weather suitable clothing and footwear .
Please note although first half of walk is flat, the second half involves a significant, steep climb up to 200m and back down again, poles may be useful, especially if the ground is wet
No refreshments on route but plenty of options at the walk end.
