Early train time at Surbiton, now 9:30

via Bagmoor Common (heather in bloom), Thursley National Nature Reserve, Thursley (pub at lunch), and Devils Punchbowl (tea at NT cafe). Long, gradual ascent after lunch. Some mainly quiet road walking. Sandy underfoot in parts, some rough paths. Sections of shady woodland. Opt outs taxi from Thursley, hourly Stagecoach bus 19 from Hindhead, Crossroads (direction Haslemere Stn.)
