Overview

From Fishbourne we make our way to the head of Chichester Harbour via Mill Lane and head south using mainly harbourside footpaths with lovely views passing harbour villages such as Dell Quay, Birdham and Chicheser Marina to our lunch stop at Itchenor.  The Ship Inn has great fish and chips or you can picnic by the harbour.  After lunch we get the ferry across the harbour (£3 cash but have a credit card just in case) and walk to Bosham where we usually visit one of the tea shops.  We may visit the church where King Cnute's daughter is buried.  Afterwards we make our way over farm land easterly and then northerly back to the head of the harbour. A change from countryside walks, mainly flat.
