Overview

Register with Walk Leader Andrew P. (07777 630336) for walk details.

Starting at Coed Llwyn-celyn car park, we head across fields to the site of the old Cefn Mabley Hospital, now a housing estate. Cutting through the estate, we walk through Cefn Mabley woods and on to Rudry Road passing the site of an ancient hill fort. We then negotiate the lower slope of Craig Llysfaen to return to our starting point.

Note: We will be walking through 3 fields that have been neglected for many years and are very overgrown and uneven - stout footwear advised. There are a number of stiles on this route and some stretches of road walking in country lanes.

Start walk from Small car park off Rudry Road at Coed Llwyn-celyn. Car sharing advised - use the group's 'Saturday WhatsApp Group' to seek/offer a lift. CF14 0LB
