Overview

Loch an Eilein is picture-postcard beautiful, cloaked in the beautiful pine trees of the Rothiemurchus Forest, with a picturesque ruined castle on the island that gives the loch its name ('Loch of the Island'). This pretty circuit takes in all the best views of the loch, with a short extension around the quieter Loch Gamha.
