It will be along day from Ayrshire!
This is a simple walk of 13 miles. It follows a good "whin dust" path over level ground. Great views and lots of birds singing. Their are toilets at the start and at RSPB Vane Farm (Loch Leven) at about 8 miles. There is a cafe here as well. No need for gaiters or poles.
By leaving Morrisons at Kilwinning by 08:00 we should be able to start the walk by 10:00.
At Loch Leven, we will use the Loch Leven Heritage Car Park, Sandport Close, Kinross.
Ayrshire departure will be the Eastern end of Morrisons at Kilwinning. The drive will take 1.5 - 2 hrs and we will need some willing drivers. Although a long drive, it is interesting.
Morrison's Supermarket car park - the corner of the car park that is nearest the big roundabout on the A78 bypass.
