The walk begins at the Church, from which we proceed towards Sandy Lane. After reaching Sandy Lane, we join the footpath that leads us up toward Summer House Woods. Continuing along the path, we traverse fields until we arrive at Common Lane. We follow Common Lane as it descends toward Happerton Lane, which is part of the Gordano Round Trail. At this point, we follow the Gordano Round Trail in the direction of Fishponds Wood and Scutche’s Plantation. Upon reaching Scutche’s Plantation, we leave the main trail and take footpaths through East Tanpit Wood, eventually making our way back to the starting point.
The terrain along the route is undulating, featuring a few short sections that are steeper than the rest.
The path is likely to be muddy underfoot. Therefore, it is recommended that walkers wear suitable walking boots and consider using walking poles for additional stability.
