The walk heads north out of Mamble over a beautiful Worcester landscape, then through Wissett’s Wood, before we view the first of three manor houses; Shakenhurst Manor. Further on we cross the bed of the dismantled railway that linked Wooferton to Worcester; we then cross the River Rea before we encounter Rearside Manor. This is a two stop walk, the second one in the village of Bayton: on the distant hills to the north you can see Mawley Manor. A winding lane will return us to Mamble, where a meal can be obtained at The Sun and Slipper:https://www.sunandslipper.co.uk/.
It should be noted that there are a few exhilarating accents, but these will be taken at a very steady pace.
There is no need to book a place on this walk.
