We are the Balerno Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Dunsyre Road, Ingraston Hill, Mendick Hill, Lowsmeadow Burn, Medwynbank, Garvald (part of return is along Pentland Way). Attractive walk through farmland and open hills. Some walking uphill across open moorland which may be boggy if wet, gaiters and walking poles recommended. Some uphill and downhill sections may be via poorly marked/non-existent tracks with a small number of steep parts. 360O views from the top.

NB If you are travelling independently to the walk start, we ask for a donation of £1.50 to cover our walk recce costs.
Walkers must carry an ICE (In Case of Emergency) card, hand sanitiser, medication, plasters etc. The Walk Leader will also have a more comprehensive 1st Aid Kit with them.
Covid is still with us and as people have different risk tolerances; please be respectful of others during the walk. Please don't come on the walk if you are experiencing Covid symptoms
