Farnham & District Ramblers offers an all-year-round programme of walks in the beautiful Surrey Hills, North East Hampshire, and South Downs National Park.
We will be taking a beautiful walk through the Meon Valley, then up on to the South Downs Way before we head towards Old Winchester Hill for lunch, where we can admire the glorious views. The walk has one main ascent up on to the Downs.
Please bring a picnic lunch. There are no pubs, cafes or toilets on the route, but there is a pub at the end of the walk for refreshments.
East Meon Village Car Park, next to the Allotments and Recreation Ground on Workhouse Lane. This free car park is clearly signposted AT THE END of Workhouse Lane. Please note: this is NOT the Village Hall car park which is 50m up the road. OS Map X132/OL32.
