Overview

A circular route from Stonehouse through the Stanleys, including some paths that South Cotswold Ramblers have been campaigning to protect for the benefit of walkers. Refreshment stop at Leonard Stanley and a chance to visit a farm cheese and milkshake outlet. Views of the escarpment and an appreciation of the area's industrial heritage. Gradual ascent and several stiles. Optional picnic lunch at the end of the walk.

Church Lane, near St. Cyr's church. This is a cul-de-sac. To access the lane come off the A419 Bristol Road at the roundabout on to Boakes Drive, turn right into Barlow Close. Church Lane is at the end of Barlow Close.
