The third section of the Minster Way, take in the beauty of the Yorkshire Wolds between Bishop Wilton and Huggate. Starting from Bishop Wilton we head through Great Givendale passing the quaint church of St. Ethelburga before going over rolling hills and heading onto the charming village of Middleton. Going up the hill we will be rewarded with views over the Wolds and chalkland dales before arriving into Huggate.
🪧Meeting at Huggate Car Park (honesty payment) on Driffield Road at 10am where we will leave most cars and then take some to Bishop Wilton, sharing transport.
🅿️Huggate Car Park. For those cars going to Bishop Wilton we will be parking at Bishop Wilton Village Hall (honesty payment)
🚌747 bus from York goes to Bishop Wilton at a reasonable time BUT it departs Bishop Wilton in the evening so if you wish to take the bus, be aware it will be returning late.
🚻Unfortunately there are no public toilets on the route
🥪You will need to bring a packed lunch
🐶Dogs are welcome to come on the walk but will need to be on a lead for some sections following roads
🥾Boots are recommended as the route is expected to be muddy in places
🍺Option to stop for drinks in the Wolds Inn at Huggate after the walk
