This walk skirts the western edge of the New Forest offering good views over the Avon Valley before climbing Dorridge Hill to return over the wild upland area of Ibsley Common. The paths are generally good but there are rough and muddy sections and several of rising ground, some fairly steep. This together with the exposure whilst crossing Ibsley Common mean that good walking boots, warm clothing and full waterproofs are essential. There are 2 stiles. Please bring a packed lunch and advise the walk leader if you plan to come on this walk.
