You will all be aware that it has been very wet of late and therefore it will be quite soggy up on the moors on Thursday. We have to cross the River Strane on our walk and Graeham and I managed this without too much difficulty a couple of weeks ago on the recce. However, if this crossing becomes impossible, I have a Plan B. In the mean time, this is a good moorland walk with the extra thrill of finding the Crock of Gold as we near the end. Also, the Fox Tor cafe is very inviting after a day on the moors. The car park in Princetown is £5.60 so it would be useful to share lifts. Don’t forget your 20p for the loo! I hope to see lots of you on the day, let’s hope that the weather is kind to us.
