Please note the A382, Newton Abbot to Stover Road is closed for 2 years, as part of a project to tackle congestion and improve safety. There are various obvious diversions to Stover Country Park from Newton Abbot, but the A38 approach is recommended. Take the Bovey exit off the expressway, then the 4th exit from the roundabout, turning into Stover on the left – well before the road closure. All clearly marked.
NB it’s a very nice, virtually flat walk, but can be very muddy around the river areas after rainfall.
