Overview

Starting from Marsden we head along the canal to Standedge Tunnel. A long, gentle ascent onto the exposed moors follows before we pick up the Pennine Way and head back towards Marsden. If it's a clear day, there will be good views down to Castleshaw Reservoir. The moors are very exposed, so please wear suitable clothing for the weather forecast. After the walks there's plenty of places for a drink.
