Overview

Starting from Counters Gate car park, we pass Goodwood Race Circuit and climb to the Trundle for views across the South Downs and English Channel. We then descend to Singleton, cross Cocking Down, and pass through Cocking, where we may see Philip Jackson’s sculptures during our lunch stop. From Heyshott, a steep climb takes us on to East Dean.

Overall, a hilly walk — walking poles advised.

Please bring plenty of water, refreshments and packed lunch.

If this is your first walk with Mole Valley Ramblers we invite you to contact the walk leader in advance, so that you know more about what to expect, and can gauge its suitability given your level of fitness.
