A lovely varied 8-mile circular walk from Nesscliffe to Ruyton XI Towns, including Nesscliffe Country Park with Oliver's Point viewpoint, Kynaston's cave and the Fort. The route follows the length of the lovely Cliffe towards Ruyton XI Towns with super views across the Shropshire plains to surrounding hills and Wales. The walk involves woodland tracks, lanes, fields and open sandstone moorland, as well as a little walking in Ruyton to see the Castle remains. There are no stiles but poles are advised for steps at Nesscliffe, and muddy sections. There is plenty of interest on this walk, which includes part of Walk 21 from the 'Twenty More Walks' book. Hopefully there will be a chance for refreshments somewhere after the walk. Please book a place with the walk by text ONLY. Car parking will be limited so please car share if possible and let Amanda know if you need a lift from AF.
