This is a second in a series of Neurodiverse friendly walks. These walks are open to everyone but in particular, we wish to encourage people with Autism, ADHD or other conditions to join us and come along and our walk leader has professional and lived experiences to help promote further inclusion in the walking community.
Meeting point: Chessington South Station, outside by shops at 11am. We will wait for anyone a bit late, with the aim to set off at 11.15am or so. Please note their are two stations in Chessington, it is South one you want.
Group: I will be wearing a florescant jacket for you to identify me.
Getting there: Parking is free on Garrison Road either road side or you have a choice of two recreation grounds to park in, either St Francis Recreation or Southfields, both short walks away. 71 Bus stop directly outside.
The Walk: After leaving the station, we will head up Hunting Gate where we have really nice views to see before walking into Horton Park via Green Lane and Bonesgate Stream. We will then loop into the stunning Epsom Common for a short section only via Stew Ponds before coming back via Rushett Farm back to the station. Route is around 5.5 miles.
Coffee stop: We have a few options, we can stop at Horton Park coffee kiosk, Old Moat Garden Centre or Rushett Farm, we can decide on the day.
Walking Pace: We will all try to keep a varied pace and ensure everyone is happy. Dogs are welcome but please keep on a lead.
