An opportunity to enjoy the Autumn landscape! This walks takes us from the overground rail station in Kingston-upon-Thames along the Thames path to Teddington Lock. We then turn East through Ham Common and up into Richmond Park, visiting the Isabella Plantation, before exiting the Park at Kingston Gate and returning through the town to Kingston Station. The walk is mostly smooth and level with a couple of gentle climbs in Richmond Park.
For those attending, we will finish the walk in time for the Kingston Ramblers AGM which will start nearby at Kingston Quaker Centre at 2PM.
Because of the AGM we will only pause for a brief lunch stop in the Park. Drinks and food can be purchased in the park or bring your own lunch.
There are toilets at Teddington Lock, Isabella Plantation and the Richmond Park gates.
Be aware that the rut is underway in the park - keep well clear of deer, particularly at this time of year.
Families, children and new walkers welcome, but please read the Advice for Walkers on the Kingston Ramblers Website beforehand. Wheelchair users should contact the walk leader in advance to discuss the route.
