Route: Starting at New Malden station we will be walking along the Beverley Brook stream via Malden Golf Club - Beverley Meads/Ponds a section of Wimbledon Common before crossing into Richmond Park and following the brook path to Barnes station. 6.5 miles.
Finding us: Meeting outside Bar Malden which is next to New Malden train station, will wait for 15 mins or so and set off at 11.15am. I will be wearing a fluorescent jacket to be identified.
This is linear so either the Train or 265 Bus back to New Malden, there are buses in Barnes along Church Lane/Rocks Lane you can also get. Please do your own research on what bus or train u need.
Coffee stop: We will be stopping at Roehampton Gate Coffee shop in Richmond Park where there are really good facilities.
Parking: If you are coming by car to leave it in New Malden, then most parking in New Malden is paid car parks but there is free parking under the arches near Potters Grove/Green Lane but these are around a 15 min walk from the station.
Please note we finish at Barnes station, not Barnes Bridge.
Additional things: ND walks are to create a fun and inclusive walk for all, this means being open minded to peoples experiences. People can talk as much or as little, this is not a support group, but just a social walk and enjoying the great outdoors.
