We will walk from New Alresford along the path by the river Arle passing the eel house on the Wayfareres Walk to the old watercress beds. From here we use tracks and paths to Abbotstone then on to Northington where we walk over to the Grange built in 1804 by William Wilkins architect of the National Gallery, and later home to members of the Barings Family. It also hosts a large music festival in June and July. We retrace our steps to join paths which take us to a high point by the Oxdrove way and down into Old Alresford and again encounter watercress beds on our way back into New Alresford.
This walk is gently undulating for a lot of the way and is open in nature. Please dress according to the prevailing weather.
