Join us for a 10.45am start - Please note the updated start time beginning from the Renegade Brewery car park on the outskirts of the scenic village of Yattendon.
We will head out through the village into open fields and woodland areas. Some of the paths will be quite muddy in places. We will stop about a third of the way into the walk for some festive mince pies and mulled wine. For those that wish to partake, please do bring a drinking vessel with you.
We will continue on through a Christmas Tree farm towards the outskirts of Ashampstead where we can stop to admire the 12C paintings in St Clement's church before heading to Casey's Farm Shop, which will sadly be closed, to make use of their picnic tables for our lunch stop. From here it will be approx 40 mins back to Yattendon with an option to stop at the Royal Oak pub for a quick refreshment before the short walk back to the start point.
Please note that the brewery and taproom are closed on New Years Day although we have been informed that the car park will still be open.
As usual please bring a packed lunch and drink. The walk may be muddy so walking poles may make traversing some paths and slopes a bit easier. Please also note, the only indoor comfort stop will be at the pub at the end of the walk.
Due to very limited public transport links because of the time of year please consider car sharing if you can.
