We are the Newark Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Newark has a fascinating range of historic places of worship. This walk takes in the vast majority of them. Starting at Newark Castle Station (Car parking at Riverside Car Park) it proceeds through the town centre, out to the Cemetery (coffee stop) and Polish War Memorial, back via Sconce Park (lunch stop) and Millgate to the centre of town. The walk also takes in a number of other non-ecclesiastical historic points around the town. The walk is entirely on pavements.
This is an extended version of the very interesting walk on the morning of our AGM.
Please note the slightly later start time than usual. This is to allow for walkers from Mansfield/ Southwell and villages to join us by bus. Trains from Nottingham/ Lowdham etc and Collingham also come into Newark Castle station, just before 10am.

The walk will start from the Riverside car park, opposite Newark Castle station. This can be reached by car, bus, train or on foot.
