Tram-based walk

Leader: Mark H, meeting at Walk Start

Transport to Walk Start: 17:16 tram from Manchester Victoria station (final destination Rochdale).

Meet Point:  On the tram platform at Victoria Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the tram or at the Metrolink stop at Newhey. Drivers are advised that there is street parking in the Newhey area, but no car park at the Metrolink station.

Suggested Ticket: Metrolink Zones 1-4 Off Peak 1 Day Travelcard £4.90.

Walk Start: Newhey Metrolink stop at 18:00.

Waypoints: Haugh ,Bethany Farm, Spring Mill, Ogden Resevoir ,Kitcliffe, Piethorne, Piethorne Woods, Spring Holes, Kitcliffe, Ogden, Rough Bank, Woodside, Huddersfield Road.

Return Services: Trams to central Manchester every 12 minutes.

Extra: Toilets at Victoria Station. No toilets on the tram or at walk start; and possibly none en route as those at the Ranger Station at Ogden Reservoir may be closed. Possible refreshments after the walk at a local pub.

There will be mud, so please come prepared.
