Overview

Longer walk for a Bank Holiday weekend. We will start from Newlands corner with lovely open views, then drop down to the Tillingbourne valley. There may be cattle in the field by the river, so dog owners please discuss with leader before coming on the walk. The walk continues through Blackheath, Brook and Little London to reach Shere where the icecream shop Shere Delights will be open. After refreshing ourselves, we will make the steady climb back to Newlands Corner. We will have 2 refreshment stops, the second in Shere. Bring plenty to eat and drink as, although this isn't a full day walk, we won't rush and the estimated finish time is 2.30pm to 3pm.
