Overview

A circular walk planned to introduce you to some of north Bedford's lesser know history, following the route of Victorian carriages to Clapham Park before returning towards Bedford. We visit a community orchard and learn a little about a Victorian botanist breeding new varieties of peas and apples and who was in contact with Charles Darwin. We follow a short stretch of the John Bunyan Trail into Bedford's historic Victorian Cemetery and back to the start. Sorry no dogs. Free parking on Park Avenue. Main gates are opposite De Parys Ave junction. Car Park at Robinson Pool £1.30 for 3 hours
