Overview

After a steep climb out of Oakamoor picnic site the rest of the walk can be classed as moderate and undulating.  It offers a variety of beautiful panoramic views and quiet intimate woodland.  We'll have a short stop for refreshments around 11am, before heading for Whiston for lunch.  It has the potential to be muddy in parts, if we have had a wet spell, therefore walking poles are recommended if you normally use them.  Toilets available at the start and end of the walk.

Ramblers members from other Ramblers groups are welcome to join us.

Please wear walking boots and bring a waterproof.  Please bring plenty to eat and drink.  Please carry a completed ICE card (go to our website, click Walks, then click What to Bring).
