Overview

We commence walking over the river Ogwr Fawr to the busy main A4061 we cross the road and head for a bridle way that takes us out into the country side with beautiful views up the Ogmore Valley. We will rise 800 feet, it is a steady climb on twisting paths. The bridleway has a number of gates where the water has saturated the ground around the gate and water will run over your boots. When we enter the forestry area the paths change to stone. As we emerge form the top of the forest the views of Nantymoel, as we descend the top of the hillside  separating the Ogmore and Garw Vallies is visible. We descend to the river level and the cycle route back to the start.
