We are the East Cheshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a BUS ramble starting earlier than usual. Meet at Macclesfield bus station at 10 am for the #10 bus to Bollington leaving at 10:10 (SJ 918735). This bus also leaves from the bus-stop opposite the Co-op in Hurdsfield at 10:15 (SJ 923741), with parking on Fence Avenue. I will be at the bus station.
3.8 miles back to the Co-op or 4.3 miles back to the bus-station.
This walk is flat apart from a steady rise up to the canal in Bollington at the beginning, then along the canal, 10 steps up to the bridge at Tinker's Clough near the Adelphi Mill; fields; Middlewood Way back to Macclesfield. There will be a drinks stop along the way ( with optional coffee at the START of the walk at the Cafe Waterside).There are no stiles.
Bring fluids and a snack, your BUS PASS or £3 for the bus fare. No dogs as there are livestock in the fields.
