This is a short evening walk of approximately 5.5 miles through gentle fields and quiet lanes so come and enjoy a Summer stroll in "Darling Buds of May" countryside. Look out also for distinctively arched "Dering" windows around Pluckley which date back to the 19th century.
Our walk commences from Pluckley following the Greensand Way passing through Elvey Farm, to then head northwards to give us good views of the North Downs, before joining the Stour Valley Walk. We then pass the ruins of St Marys Church, which was destroyed by a doodlebug during the 2nd World War as we head towards Little Chart.
On reaching Little Chart, if time allows, there might be the opportunity for a drinks break in the Swan Pub, after which we will re-join the Greensand Way on the return to Pluckley, through orchards & fields to finish.
