A beautiful walk, starting in Trevor (Pont-Cysyllte car park) which takes in the marvellous Pont-Cysyllte aquaduct , and then climbs steadily through fields and woodland where we will have elevenses.
We then continue with this undulating walk, passing the flanks of Pen-y-Coed and dropping down into Llangollen.
After passing through Llangollen we climb again up to Castell Dinas Bran where we plan to have lunch. From there the walk drops down onto the panorama route and then Offa's Dyke path all the way back to Trevor
This is a moderate walk with strenuous sections of 11 miles with 2350 feet ascent.
At this time of year it is muddy in parts and slippy. Poles may be a valuable asset for those walkers who use them.
Dogs welcome if known to the walk leader and discussed upfront of the walk.
There is a pub at the end for a well earned drink for those who want to join us.
There are no toilets at the start.
Please do not turn up for this walk without booking on it with the walk leader
