This second day of the two days break in Snowdonia starts at a lay-by on the A470 near Pont Y Pant Station. We will follow a path for a couple of miles shadowing the Afon Lledr in its valley through former mine workings giving evidence of it's industrial past. The route crosses over the normally violent Afon Lledr at a sturdy bridge and from here we ascend up a steepish but short path through the woods to join a forest trail. Eventually, we join a barely used and potentially spongy and boggy footpath until we meet the Roman Road and make our way down crossing the A5 at the Miners Bridge. From here it's a short distance back to Betws.
This second day is a much shorter outing for those who may want to make an early start back home after some light refreshments. Please bring sufficient food and drinks for this walk, ICE details, leather boots and gaiters may be useful.
