Overview

A moderate- to brisk-paced linear walk to Tattenham Corner Station led by Leah C (Mobile No: 07810 400927). The walk is mainly on undulating terrain with few short uphill sections. Route: through Gatton Park, Reigate Hill viewpoint, Reigate Fort, Colley Hill,  Mogador Hamlet, Banstead Common, and cutting across Epsom Downs Racecourse to Tattenham Corner Station. Lunch stop: picnic with short pub break for a drink. Map: Explorer 146.

Check trains the day before. Tattenham Corner Station is in Zone 6. Merstham Station is one stop outside Zone 6 but accepts Oyster PAYG.  Holders of Freedom and Over 60s Passes should just buy a single ticket from the boundary of Zone 6 to Merstham.
