Overview

A moderate to brisk paced linear walk to Saltdean led by David C (Mobile No: 07747 187036). A south downs walk over undulating terrain. Lewes – Kingston – Rodmell – Telscombe – Saltdean. At Saltdean catch one of the frequent coastal buses into Brighton or alternatively walk an additional 4 miles along the coast and up into Brighton town and station. Lunch stop: Pub lunch at ‘The Abergavenny Arms’, Rodmell, BN7 3EZ after 5 miles or picnic nearby. Drop-out point: Southease Station is 1 mile from the lunchtime pub. Joint walk with Hammersmith, Fulham & Wandsworth and Kensington, Chelsea & Westminster Groups. Map: EOL11 (formerly 122), L198.
