We will walk around the top part of Puttenham Common and follow the North Downs Way to Puttenham village, from where we will take the Fox Way towards Shackleford and return via the picturesque hamlet of Rodsall Manor to the car park. The terrain is hilly, but there are no very steep ascents.
Puttenham Common Top Car Park, Suffield Lane. Ignore any "road closed" signs. (There are 3 car parks. Please make sure you are in the Top Car Park.) Do not use the postcode, as you will end up in the wrong place! Put "Puttenham Top Car Park" into Google Maps and it will take you straight there.
