An easy circular 4 mile walk northwards from Ranmore Common with glimpses across to (but not reaching) Polesden Lacey. We head down towards Bagden Farm (one steeper section of chalk path that can be slippy), passing through one field (sometimes with cattle), then heading westward along the valley to Polesden Farm. Then a steady but gentle ascent, with just one slightly steeper section back to the car park. No stiles.
The cafe truck will have left by our return, but the plan is to have a sociable tea pause afterwards in Steers Field if the weather is fine, with homemade cakes. Offers of cakes welcome, tea will be provided.
