Overview

We make a steady ascent from Smithy Lane up across the fields to the left of Ginclough Farm. We meet the B5470 and walk a short stretch along the road before taking the footpath down towards Withinlow Farm and on to Harrop Fold Farm where we turn right up the track towards the main road. We take a footpath to the left which takes us down towards Harrop House Farm and on up to the B5470 again. From there we turn left along Bakenstonedale Road for a short stretch before turning left towards Further Harrop Farm. From there we take the upper path through Harrop Wood, Oakenbank, Savio House, Swanscoe Farm, up over Kerridge Ridge and back to Rainow via Sugar Lane.

Some steady ascents and may be muddy in places.

Please bring your ICE information, drinks, and a packed lunch. Contact Maggie S for further details if needed: 07729327940. I can offer a lift from Prestbury.
