Overview

Circular walk from Monyash.

Some polished limestone under foot so poles recommended.  A few steep ascents and descents, one descent a little difficult where you need to hold on to rocky outcrop.

Public toilets about half way round at Over Haddon (donations).

Route follows the Limestone Way out of the village in the direction of Youlgreave.  Fabulous views over the White Peak and the limestone cliffs below in Lathkill Dale.  Route follows green lanes, fields and short distances on roads.  Route drops down from the Limestone Way to Over Haddon crossing the river and up the steep ascent.  From there we go across fields to Magpie Mine and back to the village.

Refreshments available afterwards at the Old Smithy which is open until 5pm.

NO DOGS please.
