Overview

Please note that we do not go up Kinder, South Head or Mount Famine, but there are still quite a lot of hills.

Route: Bowden Bridge Car Park, Hill Houses, Marepiece wood, steep climb to north side of Kinder reservoir (either upper or lower path round reservoir) Blackshaws, Upper Moor, Broad Clough (killer hill, but we will go slowly!) Edale Cross, long section of paving slab path across moor to South Head. Skirt South Head and Mount Famine, Pennine bridleway, return to Bowden bridge.

Toilets at campsite at Bowden Bridge.

Bring food and drink for coffee and lunch stop and poles if you use them.

Fingers crossed for good weather as the views are fantastic.

Lift available from Handforth area, Melanie 07854 093785.
